2- Currency

The Peso is the official currency. There are notes of  $2, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 and coins of $1; $0,5; $ 0,10; $ 0,25 y  $0,50 cents.
Frequently, commercial areas accept UDS while other currencies can be exchanged in most banks and exchange agencies. American Express, Visa, Diners and Master Card are accepted in most commercial places. It may be difficult to exchange Travelers checks outside Buenos Aires. Tipping around 10% is customary in restaurants. Bargaining is uncommon, except in the artisan markets in small cities or villages.

3- Documents & Visa requirements for entry.

Entry requirements: To entry the country a valid passport is necessary. However, members of the MERCOSUR can entry with the Cedula de Identidad.
Visas: Nationals of the USA, Canada, most Western European countries, Australia and New Zealand do not need visas to visit Argentina. Upon arrival all non-visa visitors must obtain a free tourist card, good for 90 days and renewable for 90 more.
Children under the age of 21 years old travelling without both parents need a notarized document certifying that both parents agree to the child's travel.

5- Arrival at Ezeiza International Airport and transfer to Buenos Aires City.

All international flights arrive at Ministro Pistarini (Ezeiza) International Airport. The airport is located 22 km from the city and is connected by Richieri highway.
To get to the city of Buenos Aires, you can choose among the following: 

Transfer: Manuel Tienda Leon (Santa Fe 790, Tel: 4314-3636) Every 30 minutes and the trip lasts 50 minutes aproximately. A round ticket cost $ 39 and one way $ 22. For further information:  www.tiendaleon.com.ar
Taxi: The fare to the City center is $ 35 approx. plus highway toll fee. If you prefer, BA Home Rental can arrange a private vehicle to pick you up: just write to us 2 days before your arrival and we can organize everything for you.
Public transport: If you have little luggage and you want to reduce your costs, you can choose to take public transport. Bus number 86 departs from Ezeiza. It takes approx. 1 hour and 1/2 to reach the City center. You can get down in Plaza de Mayo and from there take any of the underground services. Keep in mind that bus fares can only be paid with coins.

6. Medical information

Vaccination is not necessary to visit Buenos Aires.The public water supply is reliable. Public hospitals - available for tourists - offer a 24-hour emergency service, without charge. Argentine doctors are considered excellent professionals worldwide.
The ambulance emergency service (SAME) is also free.

6. Language

The official language is Spanish. It is worth nothing the use of vos (you) instead of the Spanish tú, and also the use of che to address a person informally.

Porteños usually easily understand Italian and Portuguese. Most people involved in tourist activities speak English.

7- Connection between Ezeiza and Jorge Newberry. Transfer to/from Jorge Newbery domestic airport & Buenos Aires City.

All domestic flights depart from Jorge Newberry airport. It is located 5 km from the center and can be quickly accessed by a well connected highway.
To get into Buenos Aires, you can choose from the following ways: 
Transfer: Manuel Tienda Leon (Santa Fe 790, Tel: 4314-3636) Every 30 minutes and the trip lasts 25 minutes aproximately. One way ticket is $ 8. For further information:  www.tiendaleon.com.ar  . If you wish to go to some neighbourhoods (Palermo, Belgrano, Recoleta & Barrio Norte) it is better to take a taxi rather than the Tienda Leon transfer because these neighbourhoods are closer to the Airport. Tienda Leon will be useful if you plan to ride to San Telmo, Center & Plaza San Martín.

Taxi: As the domestic airport is close to the city, the taxi trip is not expensive. If you prefer, BA Home Rental can arrange a private vehicle to pick you up. Just write to us 2 days before your arrival and we can organize everything for you.
Public transportation: If you have little luggage and you want to reduce your costs, you can choose to take public transportation. Buses number 37, 45 and 160 pass by the Airport. Keep in mind that bus fares can only be paid with coins.
